Vision 2030 Workshops Being Rolled Out Across Ministry of Education Regions
28/10/11

  Some 50 senior education officers from the Ministry of Education’s Regions Three, Four, and Five participated in a Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) sensitisation workshop on Friday, October 7, where they discussed the role of the education officers in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Vision 2030 Jamaica National Development Plan.


PIOJ to participate in the St. Mary Career Fair and Expo

The Plan Development Unit of the PIOJ will be participating in the St. Mary Career Fair and Expo on Thursday, October 20, 2011, at the Grays Inn Sports Complex in Annotto Bay, St. Mary, beginning at 10:00 am. .

The objective of the event is to sensitize students and young adults about the career options available and the different avenues and institutions that are available to them. Participants will get the opportunity to learn more about Vision 2030 Jamaica and their role in its implementation.


Manchester Parish Run

The Parish of Manchester will be havin a Parish Run as one of the activities to celebrate Community Month in November.

The Community Run will be targetting rural areas of the parish, to share the Vision 2030 Jamaica National Development Plan.

The event is scheduled for November 28-30, 2011.

PIOJ to partner with the SDC's 20/20 Cricket Competition

The Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) will be partnering with the Social Development Commission's (SDC) 20/20 Cricket Competition as part of its islandwide promotion of Vision 2030 Jamaica. The competition begins on Sunday June 5, 2011 with the first match at Buff Bay, in Morant Bay, St. Thomas.

The SDC has as its objective for this competition, the advancement of the community agenda through sports and entertainment in realizing the Vision of "Jamaica, the place of choice to live, work, raise families and do business".

The Competition continues until September 4, 2011. 


PIOJ to collaborate with SDC to undertake the Harkers Hall Community Health and Opportunity Fair

The Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) will be collaborating with the Social Development Commission (SDC) to undertake the Harkers Hall Community Health and Opportunity Fair on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 beginning at 9:00 am at the Harkers Hall Health Centre, Harkers Hall, St. Catherine.

The Fair will be held under the theme: "A Healthy and Stable Population" which is one of the Outcomes of Goal 1 of Vision 2030 Jamaica.

The PIOJ will set up a booth at the event which is being part-sponsored by the Vision 2030 Jamaica Communication and Awareness programme.
