On Thursday, April 20, 2017, Vision 2030 Jamaica kicked off its “Parish Talk” for the year 2017 in St. Elizabeth. “Parish Talk” is an initiative of the Vision 2030 Jamaica Secretariat aimed at engaging stakeholders in all 14 parishes of Jamaica in knowledge sharing. It also aims to strengthen the alignment of local level development planning and initiatives with Vision 2030 Jamaica. Since its launch in 2016 with a visit to Portland, “Parish Talk” has made stops in St. Thomas and St. Catherine.
The St. Elizabeth staging of “Parish Talk” saw the members of the Secretariat engaging the Black River Chapter of the St. Elizabeth Chamber of Commerce, the St. Elizabeth Municipal Corporation, and the wider public.
